By developing resources and providing instruction in intellectual property law and related transactional areas, the Center will make important and practical contributions to the development and protection of investment and innovation considering interplay of investment and intellectual property and interaction of trade policy and intellectual property laws to achieve sustainable development.

Aims and Activities:

The Center for Intellectual Property Law has been set up as a resource for education and research in intellectual property law with particular attention to the biotechnology. The Center's aims and activities include:
  • Serving as a resource for government and business organisations.
  • Serve public policy leaders to maintain fair and effective IP laws and policies in the public interest.
  • Embracing issues surrounding the biotechnology addressing other critical areas of IP law.
  • Serve the public to promote the intellectual property right.
